Easy Omelets for a Group

  • Bring water to boil in a large pan.
  • Beat eggs, salt and pepper.
  • Have bowls of omelet fillings...like spinach, bacon, ham, cheese, peppers, etc.
  • Pour about a cup of the eggs into a quart sized Ziploc.
  • Add whatever filling you'd like.
  • Close bag...let all the air out.
  • Drop bag into boil for about 8 minutes.
  • Open bag and slide the omelet to a plate!
  • Easy. Perfect make-your-own breakfast for guests or large groups.

This is the second time I've seen this in two days! I first saw it on a Paula Deen episode several months ago and thought it looked really great, then I forgot about it. After I saw it on someone's Menu Plan Monday post yesterday, I added it to a blank day on this month's menu - next Monday, I think...

Have you ever tried this?

Oh, my recipe blog is up and running now! It's at Ashley's Cafe.

No, I haven't tried it yet, but plan to soon. We're doing a low carb eating plan so we're eating more eggs (I'm not an egg fan!)
